About
My name is Lisa, and I live in Brooklyn. I'm originally from Cincinnati, Ohio where I lived in the suburbs and had a normal childhood. I came to New York to go to The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music where I learned all about music theory, how good it feels to sing, and that I don't like a lot of jazz music. It taught me how to create with others and how enjoyable it is to do so.
I've always been crafty and liked making stuff, but I didn't think I could do art. But everyone can do art, and everybody includes me.
I started with some non threatening collage work which led to papercut which led to illustration and watercolor and digital work and so on and so forth.
I have an etsy store which is located here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/andiamlisa
I've sold my work in a few different places like SPOONBILL & SUGARTOWN BOOKSELLERS (williamsburg), WORD (greenpoint), and BLUESTOCKINGS (lower east side). I'm always looking for new spots to sell, so if you know a guy/gal, contact me! Wholesale is rad.
I also do commissioned art pieces/freelance design work. Use the contact form, let's talk.
I really do enjoy working with others. If you like to as well and have a fun project that I might be right for, use that contact form, homie.
I'm inspired by the colorful things and people around me, my apartment, humorus situations, and the possibilities of tomorrow.
I have a French bulldog named Roast Beef, and she's more awesome than pretty much everyone.
